For 11 months out of every year the sleepy river town of Lambertville, N.J. goes about its daily activities with kindness and goodwill. Once a half-way stop for Revolutionary War soldiers on their journey from Philadelphia to New York, and then an industrial community with steam trains and barges on the Delaware, Lambertville is now a mecca for artists, artisans, musicians, antique dealers and restauranteurs.
Victorian homes and Federal Row-Houses still grace the streets, and animal lovers abound.
But come October, like a werewolf on a full moon or a vampire at sunset, Lambertville transforms itself into a virtual haunted house of witches, ghouls, goblins and trolls,
becoming to Halloween what Mardi Gras is to New Orleans.
Lambertville residents Gary P. Cohen, Paul Kaye & Jann Kniskern attempt to find out why.
